Hi Folks, Update..... Our 1st Open Party trip for the 2008 season will depart at 10pm Monday night, fishing on Tuesday March 4. Cost for all Open party trips $130.00 per person. At this time, there will not be a fuel surcharge on open party trips for the 2008 season. We sent out a fuel surcharge chart to all of our charter groups to try to better inform you and to set a gauge that we can follow in this ongoing fuel crisis. It is not our intention to shock you with this notice, but to be up front and open with you the customer with which we value in the highest regard. We are asking all Charter Masters to contact us 1 week prior to your trip so we can inform you of the current fuel price, to determine what the fuel surcharge will be if any. I have always tried to keep the price of fishing affordable and yet still pay the bills. It seems that as time goes on we are not seeing any relief in fuel costs, and the only way to stay in operation is to charge a fuel surcharge. I have been pretty lax over the past years in enforcing a surcharge, but now it is a necessity. And still be able to take advantage of the the best fishing opportunities regardless of distance. Hopefully the fuel price will stay between $2.85 and $3.50, and there won't be much of an issue. Just this last week, the fuel price jumped 30 cents. Which is not a good sign for this time of year but we will just have to wait and see what happens as time goes on. I felt that making this chart to reference as the season goes on will help you better understand, and to keep the thought that we are takeing advantage of the situation to profit out of your mind. The fuel surcharge is designed to cover additional fuel costs and fuel costs only. I hope to see you all out on the Mirage this year for hopefully a good fishing season, but regardless a good time. Hi Anglers, Update......Friday March 21 is Open Party. This is the only Friday of the year that will be Open Party fishing, departing at 10pm Thursday night !!!!!! We also have an ULTRA LIMITED LOAD Open charter departing at 10pm March 27, fishing on March 28, friday. Go to the schedule page to get the booking information. Only 2 weeks till fishing starts for the 2008 season ~!~!~! We have some new additions to our website, such as a Video Page and an updated Schedule Page, directions on the About Us page and our 2008 2 Day Schedule on the Home page. We will have some Open Party trips in March and throughout the year. You look up those trips by month here at the site. We still have some Charter dates left also. If you would like to book a Charter or need information, please call Erin at 805-497-8704. If you would like to make Open Party reservations, please call our booking agents Gail and Dave at 805-488-2212 or 4715.
